Youth Music

Youth Music is the UK's leading charity supporting music-making opportunities for children and young people, particularly those in challenging circumstances.

I worked there for three years as Music Education Development Manager, managing and supporting new developments in music education and working with 100s of organisations across the UK. I led on the organisation's developmental programmes for Early Years, Progression and Workforce Development, and I headed up six funding programmes, working with around 50 organisations and disbursing £2m per year. During my time at Youth Music, I was part of the core team restructing the organisation's entire funding model, moving to a shift towards empowering organisations more, and encouraging them to share practice.
